Feedback Chair Riddell To Retire; Newly Hired Deputy Shaw To Replace

29th Aug 2019 11:41

(Alliance News) - Feedback PLC said Thursday Chair Alastair Riddell will retire at the next annual meet of the medical imaging technology firm, with current executive Rory Shaw lined up to replace as non-executive deputy chair.

Riddell - chair since 2016 - will retire at the next annual general meeting of the AIM-listed firm. The last annual general meeting took place in January.

"Riddell has been a key force in driving Feedback forward in recent years and on behalf of the board, we are grateful for his guidance and advice," Chief Executive Officer Tom Oakley said. "He remains chair for the near term and continues to work with the board to oversee the launch of Bleepa and the growth of the underlying operations."

Shaw will become non-executive deputy chair with immediate effect, standing down as medical director of subsidiary Feedback Medical Ltd. On the retirement of Riddell, Shaw is expected to become chair.

Previously, Shaw served as the medical director of Healthcare UK. This was then part of the government's Trade & Investment department, which has since been replaced by the Department of International Trade.

Riddell welcomed Shaw to the board of the firm following his "successful time as medical director of Feedback Medical", adding he was an "eminently suitable replacement" for chair.

"His extensive senior level experience in the NHS and international network established while with UKTI will help us to establish our new products within the national and international medical community," Riddell added.

Shares in Feedback were 3.6% lower at 1.35 pence in London on Thursday.
