(Alliance News) - FDM Group Holdings PLC on Wednesday announced the promotion of board member Alan Kinnear to the role of non-executive chair.
The London-based IT-focused professional services provider said Kinnear's appointment as chair will be effective from July 30. He will also become chair of the nomination committee.
As announced by the company in March, Current Chair David Lister is retiring from the board, also effective July 30.
Kinnear, who previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 35 years, joined FDM's board as an independent non-executive director in January, 2020. He was appointed as chair of the audit committee later that year.
FDM further announced that, again with effect from July 30, Non-Executive Director Rowena Murray will succeed Kinnear as chair of the audit committee. She will also continue in her role as chair of the remuneration committee.
"I'm delighted to succeed David Lister as chair of the board," Kinnear said. "Despite the market headwinds which have persisted over the last two years, FDM Group remains a dynamic business with a proven track-record in providing high-quality people and services...Thanks to the guidance of FDM Group's long-serving, experienced management team, the group has weathered the impact of the ongoing challenging economic conditions in which it has been operating.
"I look forward to working more closely with them to further develop and implement our strategy for a return to growth."
Shares in FDM were trading 2.0% higher at 216.29 pence on Wednesday morning in London.
