LONDON (Alliance News) - African low-cost airline fastjet PLC Friday announced its second international route from Tanzania, to Lusaka in Zambia.
The company has several routes within Tanzania, and recently launched its first international route from Dar es Salaam to Johannesburg in South Africa.
The new route between Dar es Salaam and Lusaka will initially operate twice a week, starting from February 1.
In a trading update, the airline said current bookings across its network look strong and early indications point to a successful Christmas period.
fastjet shares were up 5.5% at 2.717 pence Friday morning.
