LONDON (Alliance News) - African low-cost carrier Fastjet PLC on Friday said its passenger numbers rose by 23% year-on-year in June, though its load factor fell in the period.
Fastjet said it carried 65,216 passengers over the month, up from 53,232 a year earlier. On a rolling 12-month basis to the end of June, the company has carried 732,695 passengers, up 69% from the 433,755 it had carried a year earlier.
Its load factor, however, declined by 10 percentage points year-on-year, down to 69% in June from 79% in June 2014.
