LONDON (Alliance News) - Low-cost African airline Fastjet PLC Friday said it has signed a strategic partnership deal with online travel firm Expedia Group.
Fastjet said its flights will now be made available to travellers that shop for and book travel via the Expedia group's brand portfolio, which includes online travel agency brand Expedia, discount travel site Hotwire, and travel management firm Egencia.
"Initially focused on increasing Internet usage to book fastjet flights within Africa, the second phase of the strategy is dedicated to increasing yields by accessing international markets," said Ellis Cain-Jones, Head of Commercial at Fastjet.
Fastjet shares were up 1.5% at 1.70 pence Friday morning.
