Fastjet In Hotels Partnership Deal With Expedia's Venere.com

18th Jun 2014 09:24

LONDON (Alliance News) - African low-cost airline fastjet PLC Wednesday said it has signed a hotels partnership deal with Venere.com, meaning its customers will be able to buy rooms at Venere.com's complete range of hotels via fastjet's booking channels.

The Venere functionality will be initially launched as a co-brand product, available via fastjet's website, but will later be fully integrated into the booking process, meaning passengers will also be able to add accommodation to flight bookings and complete purchases using fastjet's mobile booking products.

"This is another key milestone in the roll-out of fastjet's ancillary products and revenue generation plan. Accommodation is a natural add-on for both our leisure and business customers and this partnership offers an extensive choice of hotels across the continent," said Ellis Cain-Jones, head of commercial at fastjet.

Venere.com is owned by Expedia inc.

Fastjet shares were up 0.2% at 1.6785 pence Wednesday morning.
