(Alliance News) - FastForward Innovations Ltd on Tuesday said its investee Emmac Life Sciences Ltd has completed the export of 400 kilograms of medical cannabis to the Bazelet Group in Israel.
Bazelet is an Isreal-based medical cannabis processing firm. It has years of experience in the pharmaceutical cannabis industry and is constantly developing new products and technologies, FastForward noted.
FastForward invests in technology and life science businesses and has a 2.4% interest in cannabis company Emmac.
The investment fund said the 400 kilograms of dried cannabis was shipped from Emmac's cultivation facility Terra Verde in Portugal.
"We are particularly pleased we are now establishing ourselves in the mature Israeli medical cannabis market. Israel represents an important market for us and we look forward to building on this agreement by exporting more product to Israel over the course of 2020 and beyond," said Emmac's Chief Executive Antonio Costanzo.
FastForward shares closed 2.2% higher at 7.16 pence each on Tuesday in London.
