(Alliance News) - Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd said on Monday it has successfully drilled, cased, and cemented the Shenandoah S2-4H horizontal well to a measured depth of 6,452 meters in the Beetaloo Sub-basin, Northern Territory, Australia.
The SS4H well, part of the Shenandoah South pilot project, showed strong gas presence and high-quality shale and rock properties consistent with earlier wells in the project, with no faulting observed along the entire 3,048-meter lateral section. The project is being conducted in partnership with Tamboran Resources Pty Ltd.
Falcon noted that Liberty Energy Inc's stimulation equipment and sand have been mobilised in preparation for a stimulation campaign scheduled to begin in early 2025. Results from the 30-day initial production flow tests for both the SS4H and the Shenandoah South 2H well are expected in the first quarter on 2025.
Philip O'Quigley, chief executive officer of Falcon, said: "The completion of the SS4H well is another milestone in the development of the Beetaloo Sub-basin and we will look forward to the upcoming stimulation campaign and updating the market as operations progress."
Shares in Falcon Oil & Gas closed down 2.2% at 4.01 pence each in London on Tuesday.
