Experian Unit To Issue Notes To Repay Debt And Fund Acquisitions

(Alliance News) - Consumer credit score checking firm Experian PLC on Wednesday said a subsidiary has priced a notes issue which will be used to reduce debt and fund potential acquisitions.

The FTSE 100 firm said its Experian Finance PLC unit will issue the notes and they are expected to close on Tuesday.

Experian Finance priced the issue of USD750 million notes paying 2.75%, due 2030, sayig they are expected to be rated A-/Baa1. The notes will be issued by Experian Finance but guaranteed by Experian PLC.

"The net proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes including potential acquisitions and the repayment of debt," Experian said.

The notes will be admitted to the official list of Euronext Dublin.

Shares in Experian, whose headquarters is in the Irish capital, were down 0.7% at 2,455.00 pence each in London on Wednesday morning.
