European Metals Signs Up Engineer Ausenco For Cinovec Project Study

21st Jul 2016 09:23

LONDON (Alliance News) - European Metals Holdings Ltd on Thursday said the lead engineer for the pre-feasibility study to be conducted on the Cinovec lithium-tin project in the Czech Republic has been appointed.

European Metals, which owns 100% of the Cinovec project, said Ausenco Ltd, an Australian engineering, procurement and construction firm, will handle the work.

"Ausenco bring a detailed understanding of lithium projects and together with our strong internal team will be instrumental in the successful implementation of our development strategy. It has been a busy 2016 to date and this is set to continue with three rigs operating and various consultants compiling the necessary reports to bring the project to fruition," said European Metals Managing Director Keith Coughlan.

European Metals shares were down 5.5% to 20.2 pence Thursday.

Fellow AIM-listed Rare Earth Minerals PLC, which holds a 16.4% stake in European Metals Holdings at a corporate level, also noted the update on Thursday.
