(Alliance News) - Europa Metals Ltd on Wednesday said it has received the assay results for the remaining drill holes TOD-024 and TOD-025 at its project in Spain.
The exploration and development company said these results contain the highest-grade intersection obtained to-date from its drilling campaigns on Toral lead, zinc and silver project, located in the region of Castilla y Leon, north-west Spain.
"In addition, importantly, the thickness of the high-grade intersection obtained from hole TOD-025 confirms the continuity of thickness evident in the Indicated resource area," said Technical Director Myles Campion.
The essay results also extended the current known high-grade area of the deposit, Europa Metals said, and establish consistency with the historic grades encountered at the Toral project from third-party drilling activities undertaken in the 1980s.
Looking ahead, Europa Metals said, upon conclusion of the current metallurgical testwork, which is expected later in March, the significant material recovered from drill hole TOD-025 will be utilised in a further phase of metallurgical testwork, to be undertaken by Wardell Armstrong International.
"The intersections have enabled us to obtain further mineralised core to continue with the metallurgical work programme, once the results from the current testwork are received and reported," said Executive Director Laurence Read.
Europa Metals shares were trading 2.9% lower in London on Wednesday at 0.017 pence each, while the stock in Joahnnesburg was untraded, last quoted at ZAR0.01 a share.
