LONDON (Alliance News) - Europe-focused lead-zinc explorer Europa Metals Ltd said on Monday that a diamond drilling rig has been mobilised to the Toral lead-zinc-silver project in Leon, Spain, in preparation for the upcoming drilling campaign.
The rig was provided by Spanish drilling company Sondeos y Perforaciones Industriales de Bierzo SA, which will be the only rig used for the drilling campaign.
The main objectives of the drilling campaign includes drilling into the high grade core of the project, targeting high grade area to increase confidence in the resource estimate, and obtain a sample for metallurgical testwork to assist the design of the process plant.
Addison Mining Services Ltd has been retained to conduct a revised resource update once drilling is completed, while Wardell Armstrong LLP will conduct metallurgical testwork on the sample taken from drilling.
"We look forward to taking this step towards increasing our knowledge of the high grade portion of Toral over the coming months. This drilling programme is designed to obtain a portion of the core in order to provide a sample for the first metallurgical testwork, and to elevate the resource estimate to the indicated category," said Executive Director Myles Campion.
