(Alliance News) - Europa Metals Ltd said Wednesday it has appointed Myles Campion as executive chair and Executive Director Laurence Read as chief executive officer, with immediate effect.
This follows the resignation of Colin Bird as non-executive chair, after two years since 2018.
Campion has been part of Europa Metals for three years since 2017, having joined as technical director, while Read has also been part of the Spain-focused lead zinc explorer.
In addition, Read was chief executive officer at Bezant Resources for two years from 2018 to 2020, before resigning in June.
"I would like to thank Colin for his contribution to the company during its initial period of operations in Spain. The Toral Project is now emerging out of the exploration phase into the feasibility stage. The board believes Toral should be a first-rate source of concentrate that, with high grades and recovery, can be developed through the outlay of relatively low capital expenditure. I look forward to announcing updates on our various workstreams in due course," Read said.
Shares in Europa Metals were down 4.4% at 14.34 pence in London, while its Johannesburg shares were 4.8% lower at ZAR4.76 on Wednesday in Johannesburg.
