(Alliance News) - Ethernity Networks Ltd on Monday said it has signed a contract with Hong Kong Techtronics Electronic Technology Ltd to manage distribution of its 100 gigabytes per second ACE-NIC100 FPGA SmartNIC cards throughout the Chinese market.
ACE-NIC50 offers flexible 10/25G ethernet connectivity and a programmable FPGA-based ENET Flow Processor in a card.
The network processing technology developer said the contract will streamline delivery of the ACE-NIC100 cards to the Chinese market, where the company has seen a recent, significant uptick in its engagements with telecom operators and system integrators. It added that by using a regional distributor, it will also benefit from accelerated cash flow from order placements as well as Techtronics' local technical support resources.
In 2019, Techtronics posted USD2.7 billion in sales of products such as mobile phones, PC-related equipment, smart home products, wearable IoT devices, robots, AI and cloud computing.
"We have followed Ethernity's progress as a solution provider for the burgeoning 5G network providers in China. We are confident that the ACE-NIC100 will be instrumental in enabling deployment of optimal 5G performance," said Steven Deng, vice president & general manager of business development at Techtronics.
Ethernity Networks shares were trading 9.5% higher at 21.34 pence each on Monday morning in London, but 46% lower than at the start of the year.
