Esken Names David Shearer Executive Chair As CEO Warwick Brady Resigns

9th Feb 2021 09:59

(Alliance News) - Esken Ltd on Tuesday said Warwick Brady has tendered his resignation as chief executive and has accepted an offer to step into the same role at aviation services company Swissport International Ltd.

Aviation and energy infrastructure firm Esken - formerly Stobart Group Ltd - added Non-Executive Chair David Shearer will assume the role of executive chair on an interim basis effective immediately and Brady will remain as chief executive until at least the end of June to allow a smooth transition.

Brady was hired as CEO in May 2017.

Esken noted Shearer's priority upon stepping into his new role will be to review the company's strategic options as it navigates the Covid-19 pandemic.

"I would like to thank Warwick for all of his efforts during his time as chief executive. I look forward to working with Chief Financial Officer Lewis Girdwood, Chief Operating Officer Nick Dilworth and all of our people and stakeholders as we navigate the recovery into the post-Covid period," Shearer said.

Shares in Esken were trading 4.3% lower at 36.79 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
