LONDON (Alliance News) - Payments hub HomeSend, a joint venture between MasterCard, eServGlobal Ltd and BICS, on Monday said it has agreed a deal with money transfer operator Hello Paisa to provide remittance services for users in South Africa.
With the connection to HomeSend, Hello Paisa's users are able to send money to new countries, including Kenya, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Bangladesh.
"Our mission at Hello Paisa is to offer those migrants living and working in South Africa a secure, cost effective way of sending money to their loved ones all around the world with technology at the very core," Hello Paisa Chief Executive Ahmed Cassim said in a statement.
HomeSend boss Stephen Doyle said: "The rise of mobile money has also built a demand for international money transfer direct to a mobile wallet. We will work with partners such as Hello Paisa to provide these important services to users in South Africa and around the world."
eServGlobal shares were down 2.6% at 4.75 pence on Monday morning in London.
