eServGlobal Trading In Line, Hunt For New Chairman Well Advanced

26th Mar 2014 11:11

LONDON (Alliance News) - eServGlobal Ltd is currently trading in line with broker forecasts, according to Acting Chairman Stephen Baldwin, Wednesday, with the search for a new chairman well advanced.

In a statement to be made at the company's annual general meeting, Baldwin said there is optimism about the year ahead with a healthy pipeline of ongoing work in the core business.

"The hard work which has gone into restructuring the business in recent years is now coming to fruition," Baldwin said

"We believe that the success of 2013 is only the beginning of eServGlobal's leadership in the rapidly growing mobile money space," he added.

Baldwin said the search for a new chairman has resulted in a "qualified shortlist" of candidates.

eServGlobal has been looking for a successor to Richard Mathews, who resigned in early March in order to focus on his increased work load as Chief Executive and Managing Director of RungePincockMinarco, a mining services company which is publicly traded on the Australian Securities Exchange.

eServGlobal shares were Wednesday quoted at 48.75 pence, up 2.1%.
