eServGlobal Teams Up With Banks To Develop Mobile Platform In Nepal

5th Mar 2014 12:05

LONDON (Alliance News) - eServGlobal Ltd Wednesday said it will partner with a consortium of banks and other institutions to offer a mobile banking platform that can be used by the providers to expand their services in Nepal.

In a statement, the mobile banking products company said it will work with MNepal, a company established by banks and financial institutions to provide access to banking throughout the mountainous country.

eServGlobal and MNepal will offer a shared technology platform which can be accessed by all banks and financial institutions in the country to extend mobile financial services to their users, the company said.

"I am confident that this project will not only be successful in the Nepalese market but will serve as an example which will be replicated by mobile money solutions across other regions," eServGlobal Chief Executive Paolo Montessori said in a statement.

eServGlobal shares were up 1.7% at 49.33 midday Wednesday.
