eServGlobal Launches PayMobile With Armenian Telecom Operator

LONDON (Alliance News) - AIM-listed eServGlobal PLC Thursday said it has launched its PayMobile platform in a partnership with Armenian telecommunications operator VivaCell-MTS.

Under the deal, eServGlobal will provide electronic recharge for VivaCell-MTS' subscriber base of over two million customers.

VivaCell-MTS is part of the MTS Group a telecommunications group in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States which includes Belarus and Azerbaijan, offering mobile and fixed voice services. The MTS Group services over 100 million mobile subscribers in Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Turkmenistan and Belarus, eServGlobal said.

"VivaCell-MTS Armenia is a new customer, in a new country for eServGlobal's core business, demonstrating that our end-to-end solutions can be tailored to meet the diverse and varying needs of different geographies," Chief Executive Paolo Montessori said in a statement. "We expect this project to strengthen our foundations within the MTS Group and the region."

eServGlobal shares were quoted down 0.5% at 47.00 pence Thursday morning.
