LONDON (Alliance News) - Escher Group Holdings PLC Thursday said it has secured a contract to provide its RiposteEssential transaction software product to Irish retail bank Permanent TSB, a deal that it hopes will open up more opportunities in the banking sector.
The point-of-service software provider, which currently mainly sells to the postal sector, didn't give any financial details about the contract, but said it will provide the bank with RiposteEssential licenses, training and maintenance for its branches. The bank will provide its retail financial services and payments in all branches using the software.
"This contract is a significant development for Escher. Although we have always delivered banking services through our postal customers, it opens up future opportunities for us directly in the rapidly changing retail banking space," Escher Chief Executive Liam Church said.
Escher Group shares were down 1.3% at 195.00 pence Thursday morning.
