LONDON (Alliance News) - Escape Hunt PLC on Wednesday said it expects its annual results to come in in line with the company's views.
For 2018 the company, which operates escape rooms, said that overall its results will meet the board's expectations with the eight owner-operated sites opened in the year trading "slightly ahead" of views.
The three sites opened last March are continuing their "strong progress" Escape Hunt said, while the five opened in the last quarter are showing "positive early signs" with both revenue and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation ahead of forecast.
Escape Room plans to open 15 more rooms during the first half of 2019.
"We are delighted with the inaugural performance of our owner-operated sites, and especially over the Christmas period, which provides further evidence that experiential leisure is a bright spot on the high street as consumers seek out experiences," Chief Executive Officer Richard Harpham said.
Escape Hunt shares were trading down 0.6% at 87.00 pence each. The stock is down 26% over the past 12 months.
