Erris Resources Finds High Grade Mineralisation At Abbeytown

30th Jan 2019 11:10

LONDON (Alliance News) - Erris Resources PLC on Wednesday said it has found high grade mineralisation at its Abbeytown multi-commodity project in north-west Ireland.

The company reported results out of 11 holes from its 12-hole project, which contains zinc, lead, silver, and copper.

Among the highlights, Erris found grades of 13% zinc plus lead combined and 21.05 grams per tonne of ore of silver over 2.0 metres in hole ABUG004.

Chief Executive Anton du Plessis said: "We are delighted with the results of the underground work programme Abbeytown, which has extended the mineralisation south to join with the surface drilling we completed last year, expanding the overall size and potential of the mineralised system."

"The combination of underground mapping and drilling has allowed us to advance the project more efficiently and develop new targets in the extended area south of the mine. The ground conditions at Abbeytown appear to be very good and the team has gained valuable experience in underground operations which will aid future work."

Erris shares were trading down 2.9% at 6.80 pence each on Wednesday.
