LONDON (Alliance News) - Pharmaceutical services company Ergomed PLC on Tuesday said it has struck a deal to acquire medical information company Sound Opinion for an undisclosed amount.
Sound Opinion will be combined with Ergomed's existing medical information business, PrimeVigilance, and is in line with the group's plan to build out its business in the UK and Europe, it said.
Ergomed said the deal will be earnings accretive in the first year of ownership and said the consideration will be paid for from existing cash reserves.
"The acquisition of Sound Opinion is in line with Ergomed's strategy to expand our post-marketing services capacity, a sector we think is critical to the future approval of new medicines and treatments," said Ergomed Chief Executive Miroslav Reljanovic.
