(Alliance News) - Pharmaceutical services firm Ergomed PLC on Wednesday announced the departure of Chief Operating Officer Jan Petracek.
Petracek joined Ergomed as part of the company's 2016 acquisition of PharmInvent. He had also been serving as chief executive of PrimeVigilance, a position he will also leave.
Ergomed said PrimeVigilance's revenue has more than doubled since 2016, with more than 500 staff. Petracek will stay on in a consultancy capacity, Ergomed added.
PrimeVigilance Chief Business Officer Jonathan West will become president of the business following Petracek's departure.
Executive Chair Miroslav Reljanovic said: "Jan has made a huge contribution to the successful growth of PrimeVigilance and Ergomed's pharmacovigilance offering. The pharmacovigilance business is expected to show revenues increasing 32% to GBP16.0 million in the first half of 2019 from GBP12.1 million in the first half of 2018.
"We look forward to continuing to benefit from Jan's expertise. We are delighted to have Jonathan continuing in his role within Ergomed and taking up the new position as president of PrimeVigilance to drive the further development of the business."
Ergomed shares were 1.7% lower on Wednesday shortly before the London close at 286.00 pence each.
