(Alliance News) - Ergomed PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed the founder and former chief executive of Biotrace International PLC to its board as a non-executive director.
Ian Johnson will join Ergomed, which provides specialised services such as contract research and trial management to pharmaceutical companies, with immediate effect.
In addition to having founded Biotrace, which was sold in 2006, Johnson has also been non-executive chair of Celsis Group Ltd and chair of Cyprotex PLC. Johnson was also chair of Quantum Pharma PLC.
Johnson was most recently executive chair of Bioquell PLC, until it was acquired by Ecolab Inc in January 2019.
Ergomed Executive Chair Miroslav Reljanovic said: "We are pleased to welcome Ian to the board. Ian has spent his career in the life sciences industry and has a strong track record in building shareholder value. Shares in Ergomed were up 1.6% at 328.00 pence on Tuesday afternoon in London.
