7th Jan 2019 10:24

LONDON (Alliance News) - Equatorial Palm Oil PLC said Monday it has completed the first sale of crude palm oil from its new palm oil mill in Liberia.

The company said that Libinc Oil Palm Inc, its Liberian operating subsidiary, has sold its first shipments of crude palm oil to a trader. The shipment, the size of which wasn't disclosed, is being delivered to Nigeria.

"We are delighted to have made our first sales of crude palm oil from our recently commissioned palm oil mill. This is another significant milestone for the company and also for Liberia which is looking to re-invigorate the agricultural industry, and Equatorial Palm Oil is proud to be playing its part in that regard," Executive Director Geoffrey Brown said.

Equatorial Palm Oil shares were untraded on Monday, last closing at 1.55 pence each.
