EQTEC To Test Waste To Fuel Capability At French University

15th Jan 2020 11:25

(Alliance News) - Waste-to-energy firm EQTEC PLC on Wednesday said it received approval to carry out refuse derived fuel testing at a plant located in a French university.

The approval, from lab researchers at the University of Lorraine in France, will see EQTEC carry out testing to see if waste-generated fuel could be used at the Feedstock Research & Demonstration Plant located in the university. EQTEC built the plant in collaboration with the French university.

EQTEC said: "The company believes that the ability to test refuse derived fuel as a feedstock in the University of Lorraine plant is of significant importance. It should provide EQTEC with accurate operational data on the behaviour of project specific types of refuse derived fuel, which the company can then share with both potential and existing project partners, funders and stakeholders."

Shares in Cork, Ireland-based EQTEC were 3.2% higher at 0.16 pence each in London on Wednesday morning.
