Endeavour Says Rochelle To Remain Offline Until At Least October 10

29th Sep 2014 07:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - Endeavour International Corp said Monday that the Rochelle field remains offline, with production not expected to commence before October 10.

Endeavour International is an oil and gas exploration and production company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of oil and natural gas in the North Sea and the United States.

The company said that it has been informed by the operator of the Scott platform that the Rochelle field, one of its North Sea producing fields, remains offline. While repairs of the Scott export compressors were successfully completed, the gas cooler failed a leak test during commissioning, said the company.

Endeavour said it has been informed that the repair of the leak and restart of Rochelle production is now not expected before October 10, 2014.

Endeavour has a 44% working interest in the Rochelle field.

Earlier this month the company warned that Rochelle would be offline until repairs to the dry gas export compressors on the Scott platform were completed. The Scott shutdown was caused by a failure of the export gas compressor.

At the time Endeavour downgraded its third quarter production guidance by 500 barrels of oil equivalent per day to 9,000-10,000 barrels of oil equivalent due to the unplanned downtime and said that it expected production to recommence by the end of September.

Shares in Endeavour International were Monday untraded shortly after the market open, quoted at USD0.4725.
