Empire Metals says drilling confirms gold mineralisation at Eclipse

16th May 2022 12:05

(Alliance News) - Empire Metals Ltd on Monday said recent drilling at the Eclipse gold project, Western Australia, has confirmed gold mineralisation.

The London-based explorer and developer focused on Australia said it completed six diamond drill holes for a total of 999 meters, five of which intercepted mineralisation.

The recent drilling showed the gold mineralisation extends over a strike length of more than 500 metres, an increase in strike length of over 300 metres from the previously reported extent of mineralisation along the Eclipse shear.

Managing Director Shaun Bunn said: "We are pleased to report the success of this strategically important diamond drill programme, which has intercepted significant mineralised zones in areas previously under-explored. The geological and structural data being gathered from the analysis of the diamond core will greatly assist in the development of a robust geological model for Eclipse and will allow us to focus our exploration on higher-grade targets along the Eclipse shear."

The Eclipse gold project is comprised of a single mining licence, located approximately 55 kilometres north and northeast of Kalgoorlie.

Last month, the company placed new shares to move faster on drilling, rasing GBP1.7 million through placing 85.0 million shares at 2 pence each.

Empire Metals shares were down 15% at 1.37 pence each on Monday in London.
