LONDON (Alliance News) - Emmerson PLC on Wednesday said it hired Don Larmour of Global Potash Solutions as a consultant for the Khemisset potash project located in Morocco.
Larmour has been appointed to advise on metallurgy and processing. His appointment marks a "significant step towards the construction of the project" Emmerson said.
"The appointment of a consultant for the feasibility study follows the results of the scoping study, published late last year, which confirmed that Khemisset has the potential to be among the lowest capital cost, highest margin potash projects in the world," Emmerson sasid , which is focused on developing its potash project in Morocco, said.
It added: "As such, its economics are outstanding, with forecasted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation margins in excess of 60% and a post-tax net present value at 10% discount rate of over USD1.1 billion based on industry expert price forecasts."
Emmerson shares were trading up 2.4% at 2.97 pence each.
