EMED Mining Shares Rise On Andalucia Government Delegation Mine Visit

LONDON (Alliance News) - EMED Mining PLC Friday said it has noted the movement of its share price and confirmed that a delegation of Spanish government officials will be visiting the Rio Tinto copper mine site later Friday, which "could be relevant to the development of the project".

EMED shares were up 5.5% to 5.28 pence per share on Friday morning.

A delegation from the Junta de Andalucía, an institution integrated into the Spanish government that organizes the self-government of the autonomous community of Andalusia, including the Minister of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment, will be visiting the mine site later Friday, it said in a statement.

"News on the radio has indicated that the visit could be relevant to the development the project," said EMED.

The company will be releasing an update later Friday in regards to the outcome of the visit.
