Elementis Hires Ralph Hewins From BP To Be Chief Financial Officer

27th Jun 2016 08:40

LONDON (Alliance News) - Chemicals business Elementis PLC on Monday said it has appointed Ralph Hewins as chief financial officer designate to replace Brian Taylorson, who is stepping down.

Hewins has been CFO of BP Lubricants, which is part of oil & gas giant BP PLC, since 2010.

"On behalf of the board, I am delighted that Ralph will be our next group CFO. Ralph is an extremely accomplished CFO who has a strong track record in finance, strategy implementation, managing projects and delivering top-line growth and profitability. Ralph is eagerly looking forward to joining Paul Waterman, our CEO, to drive improved business performance and profitability to take the company to the next stage of value creation," Chairman Andrew Duff said in a statement.

In May, Elementis had said Taylorson would be stepping down at some point in 2016. It didn't provide any further details on Monday exactly when he will step down or when Hewins will start.
