LONDON (Alliance News) - Specialty chemicals firm Elementis PLC said Monday it continues to explore options in relation to the acquisition of Mondo Minerals BV after major shareholders expressed their concerns.
The company made the comment as it announced that the required consultation ith Mondo Minerals' works council over the acquisition have been completed.
Elementis announced an agreement to buy Dutch industrial talc additive firm Mondo at the end of June for USD600 million but since has been forced to reconsider after shareholders expressed worries in relation to the deal.
Elementis shares were trading down 0.4% at 258.20 pence each early Monday morning.
