LONDON (Alliance News) - Electrocomponents PLC said Tuesday that it had seen improving sales trends in all of its regions, with the exception of North America, in the fourth months to the end of January.
The electronics distributor said it had seen underling sales growth of around 2%. This included international sales growth of 4%, and a decline in UK sales of around 2%.
The company said it had seen its eCommerce grow faster than the group as a whole, with sales rising 5%, as it benefited from its investments in website functionality.
North American sales grew by 3%, but were hit by adverse weather conditions during December and January.
Shares in Electrocomponents were trading down 4.3% at 254.00 pence Tuesday morning.
