16th Sep 2013 13:14

LONDON (Alliance News) - EKF Diagnostics Holdings Monday reported higher revenues and pretax profit for the half year ended June 30, with increased sales in instruments and consumables bolstering results.

The group posted revenues of GBP14.9 million, up from GBP12.7 million in the previous year. It posted a pretax profit of GBP191,000, up from GBP152,000.

Revenue from its Quo-Lab and Quo-Test blood analysing equipment division increased 115% from the previous year, although EKF gave no exact details. The company said that it had signed deals for Quo-Lab with two European companies, and that other companies are keen to conclude contracts.

EKF said that it had seen an encouraging start to the second half of the year and was confident about its full year results.

Shares in the diagnostic instruments and products company were trading up 4.3% at 27.39 pence Monday morning.
