Ediston Property Investment Co Fills Largest Void With Edinburgh Deal

22nd Jun 2015 07:43

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ediston Property Investment Company PLC Monday said it has let an office property near the Haymarket railway station in Edinburgh, Scotland and a key part of the city's financial services heartland to Capita Business Services Ltd, filling the largest void in the company's portfolio.

The real estate investment trust has let the 26,894 square foot property at 145 Morrison Street under a 15-year lease, without a break clause.

Capita will pay rent of GBP676,136 per annum, equivalent to GBP25.14 per square foot.

"Securing a firm of Capita's stature is testament to the quality of the building and strength of the location. The asset was developed to be a headquarters building for a single occupier and it is satisfying to see that happen," Calum Bruce, director of investment at Ediston Properties Ltd, the company's investment adviser, said in a statement.

Shares in Ediston Property Investment Company were untraded early after the market open in London. The stock last traded at 109.25 pence.
