8th Jul 2015 08:45

LONDON (Alliance News) - Edenville Energy PLC on Wednesday said it has held a series of "very productive" meetings with Shandong Electric Power Construction No.2 Co about the logistics and costs associated with a project in Tanzania, as the pair work towards potentially partnering.

Edenville is developing the Rukwa coal-to-power project based in western Tanzania.

It said it and Shandong will continue discussions in coming weeks under a framework to advance the Rukwa project.

"The board are very pleased with the positive nature of the recent meetings in Dar es Salaam and will continue to update our shareholders with material developments as they occur," said Edenville Chief Executive Rufus Short.

Edenville shares were down 13% to 0.070 pence on Wednesday.
