LONDON (Alliance News) - Eden Research PLC shares were trading higher Thursday morning after the company said it has received notice that three active ingredients which are part of a number of plant protection products it has developed have been granted maximum residue exemption by the European Commission.
Eden said geraniol and thymol are now exempt from the maximum residue levels set for many pesticides, while Eugenol had previously been granted the exemption.
This translates into a clear benefit for growers when considering treatment programmes, as Eden's products can now be used without regard to concern for residues, thus allowing growers to protect their crops right up to the point of harvest, Eden said.
Eden shares were up 11% to 17.85 pence in early trade, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
