Eden Research Says "Well Placed" After 3AEY European Approval

10th Jun 2015 10:20

LONDON (Alliance News) - Eden Research PLC said Wednesday it believes it is "well placed to realise the commercial potential" of its technology, following the recent European Union approval of its first agrochemical product 3AEY.

In a statement ahead of its annual general meeting the company said the EU approval "paves the way" for sales in France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal and the Balkans, a list which includes three of the top five grape growing nations in the world.

"Moving forward, we expect to see further agrochemical products being developed and commercialised for use in a wider range of crops; to further develop co-encapsulation using existing actives substances with our GO-E technology; to see product sales in the animal health sector through our licensee, Bayer Animal Health; to enter into agreements in other areas such as food ingredients and flavourings, cosmetics, nutraceuticals and human health," Chairman Tom Lupton said in the statement.

Shares in Eden Research are trading up 2.0% at 23.70 pence late Wednesday morning.
