LONDON (Alliance News) - Agrochemicals technology company Eden Research PLC on Thursday said 3AEY, its first agrochemical product, has been approved for commercial sale in Bulgaria.
The product, which tackles botrytis disease on grapes, has already been launched in Greece and the approval for Bulgaria will open up the Eastern European country's wine market, one of the top 20 globally, to Eden.
"Authorisation of 3AEY in Bulgaria is an important additional milestone for Eden and its regional commercialisation partner, Redestos. This is now the third of seven countries in the Southern EU zone to grant its approval for the sale and use of our first product," said Sean Smith, Eden's chief executive.
Eden shares were up 12% on the news to 15.5625 pence, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share early Thursday.
