LONDON (Alliance News) - Eden Research PLC said Thursday that it had received a Notice of Allowance from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, meaning it intends to issue a patent, for its platform encapsulation technology.
Eden has already been granted a patent for the encapsulation technology in Europe, New Zealand, Australia, China, Mexico, Singapore, the Phillipines, South Africa and a number of African states.
"Following on from the first commercial launch of products using our IP it is essential that we continue to increase our world-wide patent protect as more products move into commercialisation," Managing Director Clive Newitt said in a statement.
Eden's licensee TerpeneTech Ltd Tuesday launched the first products to use the technology, two pet odour neutralising products.
Shares in Eden were trading up 4.1% at 8.85 pence Thursday afternoon.
