ECO Animal Health Gains Approval For Use Of Aivlosin In Indonesia

30th Jan 2020 18:30

(Alliance News) - ECO Animal Health Group PLC said Thursday it has received marketing authorisation from Indonesia for the use of Aivlosin, which is used as treatment for respiratory and gut diseases in poultry and pigs.

The authorisation was granted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Directorate General of Livestock & Animal Health of the Republic of Indonesia, and is for use on chicken laying eggs for human consumption.

"Indonesia is ranked the number one market in Southeast Asia, and eighth globally, for laying bird numbers. Although the market is currently somewhat fragmented, we expect this to change in the future. It is key that the consumption of Aivlosin provides a zero day drug withdrawal period for eggs which is a significant competitive advantage for ECO," said Chief Executive Officer Marc Loomes.

Shares in ECO Animal Health closed flat at 260.00 pence on Thursday in London.
