ECO Animal Health Clears Further Regulatory Step For Aivlosin

7th Sep 2015 07:47

LONDON (Alliance News) - ECO Animal Health Group PLC said Monday it has cleared a further regulatory step for its Aivlosin treatment for respiratory and gut diseases in poultry and pigs.

The company received an official maximum residue level for Aivlosin for poultry eggs from the European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Veterinary Use. It said this will allow it to speed up the development of Aivlosin for treatment of poultry laying eggs for human consumption in its key global markets.

"This official MRL for eggs from the European regulatory authorities is another encouraging and positive step in the development of Aivlosin as a fast growing, truly global brand. It underlines ECO's continued commitment to being a major force in the international market for veterinary pharmaceutical products," said Chairman Peter Lawrence in a statement.

Shares in ECO Animal Health were up 2.5% at 302.40 pence Monday morning.
