Eckoh Wins Payments Deal With Children's Healthcare Of Atlanta

31st Mar 2016 09:00

LONDON (Alliance News) - Payments company Eckoh PLC on Thursday said its US arm has won a contract to provide payments services to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, a paedatric clinical care provider.

Under the five-year deal, Eckoh will provide its CallGuard platform, part of its Haloh range, which will eliminate any card data from entering any aspect of the hospital's infrastructure to ensure compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.

No financial details on the contract were disclosed.

"Unlike other secure payments systems this method uses tokenisation to completely remove the need for merchants to make expensive or extensive changes to any existing IT infrastructure. The solution was developed for all card-not-present payments, not just those made over the phone, and its ease of implementation has attracted significant interest from a variety of market sectors," said Eckoh Chief Executive Nik Philpot.

"As regulations and laws tighten around the transmission of personal customer data, we anticipate a growing international demand for our Haloh services," he added.

Eckoh shares were up 2.9% to 46.29 pence Thursday.
