easyJet's Julie Southern Named Next Senior Independent Director

(Alliance News) - easyJet PLC on Wednesday announced a board appointment and selection of a successor to its outgoing senior independent director.

Julie Southern takes over as senior independent director immediately from Charles Gurassa, who will remain deputy chair until the end of December, when he will leave the board. Southern will also become a nominations committee member starting August 31.

Moni Mannings has been chosen to join the budget airline's board as an independent non-executive director and remuneration committee member starting Thursday.

Catherine Bradley takes over from Andy martin as finance committee chair and will also joint the audit committee and nominations committee from the end of August when Martin leaves the board.

easyJet Chair John Barton said: "I am very pleased to welcome Moni to the board. She will bring a wide range of skills and experience and we are very much look forward to her joining us.

"I am also pleased that Julie will become senior independent director and that Catherine will chair the finance committee. They are both exceptional non-executives and bring valuable experience to these positions. I look forward to continuing to work closely with them in their new roles."

Shares in easyJet ended up 6.5% at 587.20 pence in London on Wednesday.
