(Alliance News) - easyHotel PLC said Thursday that Chief Executive Officer Guy Parsons decided to step down from his role effective immediately.
Scott Christie, currently non-executive interim chair, will become interim chief executive officer with immediate effect. The search for a new CEO has already commenced, easyHotel added.
Also the company appointed Harm Meijer, currently a non-executive director, to the role of non-executive chair.
easyHotels also appointed Michael Neuman and Charles Persello to the board as non-executive directors with immediate effect.
Neuman joined Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc in 2014 as a director of investments, Europe and currently serves as vice president, investments, Europe.
The company said Persello, a director at ICAMAP Advisory, has over eight years commercial real estate experience previously working at Unibail-Rodamco between 2011-2017 in France and Germany.
Harm Meijer, non-executive chair, said: "I would also like to welcome to the board both Michael and Charles. I believe their wealth of European property and financial experience will benefit the company as easyHotel continues its journey to fulfill its potential as a leading European budget hotel company."
easyHotel shares were down 2.1% in London at 95.00 pence each on Friday.
