LONDON (Alliance News) - Cross-border payments company Earthport PLC Wednesday said it has secured a three-year contract with London-headquartered online money transfer business WorldRemit, with transactions expected to go live in under a week from the contract signing.
No financial details of the contract were disclosed.
"We are delighted that WorldRemit has chosen Earthport and look forward to supporting their growth plans. The rapid implementation from contract to going live further demonstrates the capability and agility of our payments platform," Hank Uberoi, chief executive, said in a statement.
The contract is the latest in a series of deals for Earthport, which in March said it won a contract for its high volume low-value payments service with PNC Bank NA, a member of the PNC Financial Services Group Inc.
In December 2013 the company won a contract with Bank of America Merrill Lynch it said was worth at least USD11.3 million in revenue.
Earthport shares were Wednesday quoted at 43.91 pence, up 2.1%.
