Genflow Biosciences PLC - London-based biotechnology firm with research facilities in Belgium - Says the Japanese Patent Office has advanced its SIRT6-related patent application to the national examination phase. The application is titled 'Variants of SIRT6 for use in preventing and/or treating age-related diseases' and was originally filed on May 13, 2022. Genflow notes that it holds the exclusive license to this intellectual property. Says the invention covers novel SIRT6 gene variants that play a central role in genomic stability, metabolic regulation, and healthy ageing. Adds that the application's progression "marks an important step in Genflow's strategy to establish broad international patent protection", and that Japan is "a priority market" due to having "one of the world's most rapidly ageing populations".

Ondine Biomedical Inc - Vancouver, Canada-based life sciences company - Reports its audited results for 2024. Net loss for the year totals CAD19.1 million, around GBP10.3 million, widened from CAD14.4 million the year before. Revenue has jumped 70% to CAD2.0 million from CAD1.2 million, "driven by an 81% increase in hospital deployments and higher per-hospital revenue year-over-year despite a 40% reduction in sales and marketing spend". General & administrative expenses are up 24% at CAD9.9 million, and research & development costs have surged 79% to CAD9.2 million. Company says it made "increased and upfront investment in clinical trials, FDA audit readiness, and operational infrastructure to support future growth". Ondine also notes that Steriwave is now the first light-activated antimicrobial listed on the NHS Supply Chain, which enables streamlined access to hospitals in England and Wales.

Cykel AI PLC - London-based technology company specialising in artificial intelligence - Announces the launch of its new recruitment tool Deep People Search, which "harnesses neural search technology to identify optimal candidates from over 300 million professional profiles". Says this "further reinforces [its] position as a pioneer in AI-powered recruitment solutions. Explains that Deep People Search uses meaning-based search powered by vector embeddings instead of traditional keyword matching, allowing businesses to locate profiles they would not be able to discover through conventional search methods. "Deep People Search represents an exciting progression in our mission to transform how organisations identify talent," says Chief Executive Officer & Founder Ewan Collinge. "By leveraging neural search, Deep People Search understands the semantic meaning behind talent requirements, enabling recruiters to find the proverbial 'needle in a haystack'. Geo Exploration Ltd - Australia-based oil and gas exploration company focused on Africa and the Mediterranean, formerly named Global Petroleum Ltd - Announces that Western Australia's Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation & Safety has granted Exploration Licence E08/3744 to its subsidiary Juno Gold Ltd. Says E08/3744 forms the western parts of the Juno project in central Western Australia, where it is conducting exploration for large intrusion-related gold systems hosting precious and base metal mineralisation. Adding E08/3744 increases Geo's total granted tenure at Juno from 275 square kilometres to 450 square kilometres.

Eco Buildings Group PLC - London-based manufacturer of prefabricated modular housing products - Raises gross proceeds of GBP670,000 through a firm placing of 16,750,000 new ordinary shares at 4 pence each. Of these, GBP250,000 worth of shares was placed directly with one new subscriber while existing shareholders made up the remainder. Says the placing compares favourably to the 30-day volume weighted average price of 5.12p and represents an approximate 22% discount. Says it will primarily use the proceeds to fund the purchase of additional capital equipment and working capital, specifically a further manufacturing line at its existing site. It aims to scale production to help service its increasing order book from Albania and Kosovo. Company also has agreed to issue warrants in the placing with one warrant per two placing shares, exercisable at 13p and at any time up until three years from now.
