LONDON (Alliance News) - Parcels, mail and logistics company DX Group PLC on Tuesday said it has been provisionally awarded a contract by HM Passport Office in the UK and said it remains focused on meeting its expectations for the full year to the end of June.
The contract to run secure delivery services for the Passport Office, UK Visas & Immigration, the National Crime Agency and the General Register Office was awarded following a tender process.
DX said the contract remains subject only to finalisation of documentation and will run for an initial two years, with the option to be extended by another two years.
The company said trading conditions in the first half of its current financial year have remained tough and its margins have come under pressure from a lower-value revenue mix.
Still, DX said that, with a number of major contracts set to commence and an encouraging pipeline of further contracts, it "remains focused on meeting" its expectations for the year to the end of June.
Shares in DX were up 7.0% to 19.00 pence on Tuesday.
