DWF Enters Polish Market With Acquisition Of Legal Services Business

2nd May 2019 11:21

LONDON (Alliance News) - DWF Group PLC on Thursday said it agreed to acquire the legal services business of K&L Gates Jamka spk for an estimated net asset value of GBP3 million.

K&L Gates Jamka specialises in commercial legal services including corporate and mergers & acquisitions, litigation, banking, finance and restructuring, energy and environment, venture capital & private equity and intellectual property across a broad range of sectors.

DWF said the acquisition will result in the opening of its first office in Poland, its first international expansion since initial public offering in March.

The transaction is expected to be completed later this month.

The legal services company expects K&L Gates Jamka to generate revenue of GBP7 million in the financial year to the end of April 2020.

"This move will strengthen DWF's capabilities in our global sectors of financial services and real estate, among others, and provides further opportunities in technology and energy where our businesses have strong alignment," said DWF Chief Executive & Managing Partner Andrew Leaitherland.

"Poland has a strong and dynamic economy and is an important gateway to Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe as a whole. Having a presence there delivers on our international strategy to be where our clients need us to be," added Leaitherland.

DWF shares were trading 0.5% higher on Thursday at 122.00 pence each.
